MEI LLC Experiences strong order growth in wet process and chemical delivery systems

Albany, OR. June 24, 2008 – MEI LLC experienced strong growth in the first half of 2008, with multiple new orders and deliveries of both its custom wet process systems and chemical delivery systems for semiconductor and MEMS manufacturing.  Significant orders in the past half have included new orders for wafer cleaning and strip tools,  repeat orders for MEI “Advancer” multiple module semi-automated wet process systems  (including two for Buffered Oxide Etch (BOE) tools), and orders for software upgrades of “Universal Systems” linear wet process system using MEI’s proprietary IDX automation software. 

Significant growth has also been seen in orders for MEI’s chemical delivery systems for semiconductor and MEMS processing.  Strong demand has been shown for MEI’s “DrumChem” systems.  A very unique “DrumChem” bulk chemical management system built entirely from Halar (for chemical compatibility) was delivered and installed during the past quarter.  MEI has also delivered a “BottleChem” chemical handling system, delivering precision chemical spiking with a very small footprint, and a MultiChem 5-gallon carboy delivery system for multiple chemistries with auto-switchover between container vessels.
